Die <strong>gro\u00dfe Fensterrose<\/strong> in der Apsis ist eine der gr\u00f6\u00dften in Europa. Sie ist auch Schauplatz zahlreicher sehenswerter Lichtph\u00e4nomene, die nat\u00fcrlich auch fotografiert werden k\u00f6nnen: Am 2. Februar und am 11. Jaume II. lie\u00df es zwischen 1300 und 1311 errichten. Urspr\u00fcnglich war es als k\u00f6nigliche Residenz gedacht, aber es wurde auch als Festung, Zufluchtsort in Zeiten von Seuchen und sozialen Unruhen sowie als milit\u00e4risches und politisches Gef\u00e4ngnis genutzt. Jahrhundert und war die Residenz des Wali oder muslimischen Gouverneurs.\r\n\r\n<em>Almudaina<\/em> ist ein arabisches Wort, eine Abk\u00fcrzung f\u00fcr Medina (Stadt) und bedeutet &#8222;Zitadelle&#8220;, aber immer mit Hinweisen auf &#8222;Festung&#8220; oder &#8222;ummauerte Anlage&#8220;.\r\n\r\nNach der <strong>christlichen Eroberung<\/strong> durch <strong>Jaume<\/strong> <strong>I. am 31. Dezember<\/strong> <strong>1229<\/strong> wurde der muslimische Palast zur k\u00f6niglichen Residenz. Ab dem 13. Jahrhundert wurde das Geb\u00e4ude mehrfach umgebaut und erweitert, wobei nur wenige Originalreste erhalten blieben.\r\n\r\nHeute kann die H\u00e4lfte des Geb\u00e4udes besichtigt werden, da sich in einem Teil des Palastes das Generalkommando der Balearen befindet. W\u00e4hrend der Besichtigung sehen Sie die Haupts\u00e4le, den Exerzierplatz, die Kapelle Santa Ana und die urspr\u00fcnglichen maurischen B\u00e4der aus der maurischen Zeit.\r\n\r\n<strong>L&#8217;Almudaina<\/strong> ist der K\u00f6nigspalast oder K\u00f6nigliche Alcazar der Stadt Palma und geh\u00f6rt zum <strong>nationalen Kulturerbe<\/strong>.
