<strong>Santueri<\/strong> (Felanitx), <strong>Alar\u00f3<\/strong> et <strong>Rei<\/strong> (Pollen\u00e7a) sont les grands repr\u00e9sentants de la typologie des <strong>forteresses topographiques<\/strong>. Ces forteresses sont de grandes structures d\u00e9fensives situ\u00e9es dans des zones accident\u00e9es et sur des sommets \u00e9lev\u00e9s et strat\u00e9giques d&rsquo;o\u00f9 l&rsquo;on peut distinguer de grandes \u00e9tendues de terre et de mer et, en m\u00eame temps, elles sont difficiles d&rsquo;acc\u00e8s pour l&rsquo;ennemi.<\/p>\n<p>En d&rsquo;autres termes, il s&rsquo;agit de constructions fortifi\u00e9es ayant deux objectifs tr\u00e8s clairs : premi\u00e8rement, il s&rsquo;agissait d&rsquo;espaces de surveillance, d&rsquo;o\u00f9 l&rsquo;on contr\u00f4lait l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur de l&rsquo;\u00eele et la mer. Au fil des ans, ce ch\u00e2teau a \u00e9t\u00e9 <strong>occup\u00e9 et transform\u00e9<\/strong> d&rsquo;abord <strong>par les musulmans<\/strong>, <strong>puis par les chr\u00e9tiens<\/strong>. Cependant, on pense que l<strong>a derni\u00e8re r\u00e9sistance musulmane<\/strong> lors de la conqu\u00eate de Jaume I a eu lieu dans ses murs, car c&rsquo;est ici qu&rsquo;est mort Ahmd ibn Ahmad al-Amiri, le dernier cadi de Majorque.<\/p>\n<p>D\u00e9j\u00e0 au XVIe si\u00e8cle, il \u00e9tait utilis\u00e9 comme lazaret pour h\u00e9berger les \u00e9ventuels cas de peste.<\/p>\n<p>La seule chose que nous connaissons de son architecture int\u00e9rieure, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 quelques photographies du XXe si\u00e8cle, est une grande salle gothique d\u00e9truite pendant la guerre civile.
