Agrotourism in the Serra de Tramuntana

Mallorca has long shown that it offers much more than the classic sun and beach tourism, a very strong attraction, but not the only one. The island’s charms offer a wide range of possibilities and very diverse proposals, each one more attractive than the last: culture, gastronomy, nature, etc.

Our Serra de Tramuntana is the 90 km long mountain massif that crosses the island from northeast to southwest, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the category of Cultural Landscape thanks to the natural wealth and relationship with the inhabitants of different cultures and historical periods that have transformed the original natural environment, taking advantage of natural resources intelligently, resulting in a magnificent inventory of architectural elements and traditional engineering that harmonise with the landscape: Muslim-based terraces and hydraulic systems, the development of urban centres and hundreds of kilometres of dry stone walls and paths, etc.

Today we bring you a proposal of Agrotourism in the most beautiful villages of the Serra de Tramuntana that you should not miss and visit at any time of the year. Discover more about the Serra de Tramuntana and its villages by booking your private tour with us.

Agrotourisms in Deià

Deia is a village of extraordinary beauty at the foot of the Teix moutain massif. It was the residence of the British writer Robert Graves (buried in the village cemetery) and other artists and writers from the beginning of the 20th century. Nowadays it is a quiet, residential village with a bohemian atmosphere, with a small but select offer of accommodation, art galleries, bars and restaurants, etc.

An ideal place to breathe and take the luxury of stopping and disconnecting from routine… an oasis of tranquillity. Agrotourism for adults only, located minutes from Deià, surrounded by nature, a balcony overlooking the sea where you can enjoy a dream holiday. Its unique setting and carefully designed decoration characterise the eight spectacular rooms, two of which have a private swimming pool. The estate belonged to the Archduke Luis Salvador, where the first film with a Balearic signature was shot: El secreto de Sa Pedrissa (1925), set in the island’s smuggling trade. Today it is owned by the Artigues-Morey family, who have personally run it with care and attention to detail for 3 generations. Don’t miss Victor Artigues’ Mediterranean-style restaurant!

Agrotourisms in Sóller

Sóller is a town of great wealth and uniqueness accumulated throughout its history. Located in a valley, surrounded by the highest mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana, it remained practically isolated from the rest of the island until the arrival of the train in 1912, which can still be taken from Palma and which offers a landscape with all the richness of Mallorcan vegetation: orange groves, olive groves, fig trees, etc. Its urban centre is worth a day’s walk, not so much for its size but for the quality of its façades, gardens and squares.

Muleta de cas Hereu

The Finca dates back to the 13th century and its history is associated with that of King James I himself, who gave the estate to the Viscount of Bearn for his help in the Christian conquest of the island, which has now been converted into a country house with a rustic and elegant atmosphere. It has 8 rooms and two flats with kitchen-living room and private terrace, decorated in 18th-19th century Mallorcan style. It is located just a few metres from one of the main hiking routes, the GR 221, which makes it an ideal place for this type of activity. It stands out for its traditional family atmosphere and unique setting, surrounded by centenary olive and orange trees and with spectacular views of the port of Sóller, with the Mediterranean Sea in the background.
